Provide [Company] staff with a secure place to store their possessions
Every employee deserves to feel safe and secure at work, but when we cannot lock up our personal items, we do not feel that way. We cannot fully focus on work if we are worried about our belongings, and that is why we are requesting that [Company] provide staff with lockers or another secure place for us to store our possessions.
We are advised to always make sure our personal items are secure when working, but without a locked-up space for those items to go, we cannot be 100% sure our things are safe. What’s more, our personal effects often contain vital items like our identification, credit cards, and more. We know that [Company] does not want these items to fall into the wrong hands, and that the best solution is to provide us with a place to store them.
Our current solution of leaving our personal items in an unsecured coat room is dangerous for employees and places us at risk. We should be provided secure storage either at our desks or in a designated area.
We are demanding that [Company] : Survey employees about what kind of secure storage they would like (such as lockers, desk locks, etc) within one week. Make a transparent effort to meet employee preferences. Install secure storage within one month. Respond to this proposal within five business days.
